speaker dinner

We are hosting a dinner for speakers the evening prior to conference day if you are available.

Venue: TBD, but definitely within the Battersea Power Station compound.

Menu Choices: We will provide a menu in advance and request that you email your choices to Christine by a certain date.

After the dinner, we will have a brief run-through of slides so you can be happy that they have been downloaded correctly.

Presentation RequirementS

Sessions do not necessarily require you to present slides. However, if you do wish to present slides, they must be in widescreen 16:9 format and provided via Google Slides. Please do not submit PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF (.pdf), or Keynote slides.

Slide decks can be in your branding and style. If you require any specific fonts or treatments that cannot be accomplished via Google Slides, please consider creating your slides in another program (such as Canva or Adobe) and uploading them into Slides.

Please ensure that your slides are accessible to people with visual impairments; you can see guidelines for that here. As we will be projecting onto a cinema screen, font size probably won’t be a huge concern. We will give feedback on any concerns with ample time for amendments.

Please avoid putting absolutely essential information on the bottom of the slides, as speaker lighting may compromise visibility.

We encourage you to ensure your session provides not just inspiration, but immediately actionable steps that solo business owners can take on their own to create real value in their businesses as a result. To that end, we will be providing a workbook that includes specific prompts based on your session to encourage attendees to work through how they can apply your session’s lessons to their own businesses. You are welcome to provide these prompts if you choose; otherwise, I will create some when I receive your presentation and ask you for approval. I’m happy to provide examples if desired.

The Cinema in the Power Station has internet connection but we recommend you do not embed links that require you to use the Internet in your presentation. Embed core video or include media to display separately when you submit your presentation.

You will have a lavalier or handheld microphone available to use (tbd) along with a clicker to advance your slides. This will be set up with you by the AV team just before your session starts.

Speakers have the option of sitting in the front row, in booths at the back of the cinema, or in the green room, which is accessible via a door to the side of the stage (we will show you when you arrive, as you may wish to leave personal belongings there and/or utilise the private toilets). We encourage you to be accessible to the attendees throughout the day but particularly at break and lunch times.

We kindly ask that you do not reference our partners in a negative light. (I know it sounds obvious, but friends have had incidents in the past where speakers criticised partners from their stages!) If you are unsure about any content, just get in touch with us.

You are more than welcome to include details of how you can be contacted, as well as information about your services and offers that are relevant to the audience. In fact, we encourage you to provide something that attendees can download after the event. However, we wish for the main content to be of value rather than sales focused. Please limit any promotion to the end of your session.

We do not issue slide decks to attendees after the event. If you wish to provide them, feel free to mention in your session.

FINAL DEADLINE FOR PRESENTATION SUBMISSION: FRIDAY 9 JANUARY 2026

If you can submit before this date, that would be extremely helpful. We cannot guarantee that amendments can be made after submission, but please talk to us if a situation requires it to see if this can be accommodated.

Assets

I will provide access to Higher Voltage assets, relating to speaking, very soon.

It would be fantastic if you could promote your participation to your audience. We already know that people who have bought tickets have done so because of your involvement.

We have also provided speaker discount codes for you; please get in touch if you need yours amended.

The event is being professionally photographed and filmed, with a focus on ensuring our speakers (you!) have assets to use for future self-promotion. We’ll get these assets to you as soon as we can following the event.
