WHAT IS

Higher Voltage is a full-day conference in London that fires up solopreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners to take ownership of their personal brand, their voice, their industry presence, their offerings, and their sales success through a series of talks that provide a sequential skill build.

Anchored by keynotes on “Taking Up Space” and “Growing, Launching, Selling,” there are sessions on brand storytelling, brand definition, building visibility, and defining and communicating your professional offerings.

Our presenters have spoken on major stages including Inbound, Social Media Marketing World, Ideas Fest, and Atomicon; appeared on podcasts including Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income, Amy Porterfield’s Online Business Made Easy, and The Agents of Change; have produced millions of pounds in launches and events; and have helped thousands of small business owners to amplify their business successes.

This event also provides opportunities for businesses who help small business owners to become visible to this audience, helping them turn the day’s inspiration into action.

How Can I Sponsor?

WHERE AND WHEN

Thursday, January 22, 2026
The Cinema at Battersea Power Station
Wandsworth, London

London’s iconic Battersea Power Station will charge up attendee excitement for making 2026 their best year in business⏤while the intimate 200-seat theatre, single stage, and curated learning trajectory fosters a powerfully personal group experience.

HOW IT’S DIFFERENT

Higher Voltage isn’t just a conference.

It’s a step-by-step process, taught by masters of their specialisms, aimed at helping microbusiness owners to:

  • Amp up their confidence to take up space and get their message and brilliance out there in bigger, bolder ways;

  • Define elements of their brand and business in ways that will attract the right audience;

  • Clarify and sell their offers more effectively.

We believe that solopreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses owners are uniquely positioned to leverage their individual, very human appeal to attract the right clients for them.

We also believe that there is strength in community⏤which is why this event will kick off an ongoing community platform dedicated to continuing the education, brand-building, and support that begins with Higher Voltage in January.

ORGANISED BY

Personal branding coach and Higher Voltage event organiser Christine Gritmon smiling and holding a disco ball in front of a red curtain.

I believe in the power of the individual, and of the small business owner whose business is an extension of themselves.

“Small” isn’t a disadvantage. It’s a superpower. It’s personal.

When I started my own business in 2006, I felt called to equip my community’s micro-businesses with the digital tools they needed to get ahead.

Christine Gritmon Inc. has evolved a lot over the past nine years⏤most recently and successfully in the realm of personal branding, which has brought me international professional recognition, opportunities on stages from San Diego to Milan, guest spots on industry-leading podcasts and livestreams, contributions to best-selling business books, awards as a speaker and a podcaster, and of course deeply gratifying client work for Fortune 500 companies and individuals alike.

But I knew I was destined to empower small businesses on a larger scale than I’d been able to do thus far.

One key support I’ve embraced ever since my own business was just a whisper in the back of my mind was the camaraderie I found through events and communities. I was even able to move from the US to the UK on the strength of the British network I’ve built via participation in events all around the world!

I’m excited to put my network, my knowledge, and my love of small businesses to greater use via Higher Voltage, the first of several new initiatives I’m building to bring the self-employed community together. ❤️

Frequently asked questionS

  • Because this event is solely dedicated to helping person-based businesses (not “people-based”⏤”PERSON-based,” as in “YOU”) survive and thrive.

You won’t hear how an 8-figure CEO smashed their Super Bowl ad. You’ll hear about owning your value and personal brand, getting your business more visible, and selling more of your services or products.

That’s it. No multi-million-pound hype. Just relevant, uplifting content you can put into practice right away in your own business.

Also, how many other events are on a random Thursday in January? (You know⏤that month when you decide this year is going to be different? This event will corral that “new year” energy into action!)

  • The Cinema at the Power Station, Battersea, London; Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 9 to 5 (with an on-site after party from 5-7).

  • People who work for themselves⏤and, in many cases, also work with people who work for themselves.

Which means that if you get inspired to do something that isn’t in your skill set, there will likely be someone else there who does that very thing, and would love to work with you.

It also means that if someone else is similarly inspired, but can’t do what you do, they’ll be inclined to work with you as well.

We want everyone there to benefit not solely from the content, but also from the connections. (But in order to do that, we need you!)

  • Before the event we’ll be creating a community group of attendees so you can mix and mingle. There will be breakfast, morning and afternoon “tea breaks,” lunch, and an on-site afterparty. And we’ll be prompting you from the stage in between sessions, so you’ve got your conversation starters ready!

  • You mean besides all the connection opportunities I already mentioned? Well, I’m also offering the super-affordable Featured Provider sponsorship level! Your services will be featured on the website’s Resources page and in the event program, as well as spotlighted in an email sent out after the event. It’s your chance to get in front of our audience, who will be all hyped up to build their brands and put themselves out there⏤but could use some help enacting their plans!

  • Nope, sorry. There may be a virtual event in the future, but this one’s about gathering human energy live in the room. It’s electrifying! ⚡️

  • I actually began my planning with my dream lineup (all of whom said YES!)⏤so, this year’s speaker list is wrapped. (Sorry, I’m sure you’re amazing!)

  • You can see all our incredible speakers here (speaker page) and here (agenda page).

  • Not sure yet. But one way to increase the chances of that happening is to support this one!

  • Check out our Sponsorship page.

  • Awesomesauce! The Sponsorship page is a starting point, but I’d love to do more custom collaborations to build this thing to our mutual benefit.
